The notebooks and pencils gave my students who needed them one less thing to worry about. It is also a big help for me to have them available if a student needs something. I have already given out most of the notebooks, and the pencils should last us a long time. The snacks have been a good way to settle into to getting used to long afternoons, and I will also have them available to students who want to stay afterschool for extra help. Thank you again, I appreciate the help and support.","fullyFundedDate":1747075570157,"projectUrl":"project/end-of-year-supplies/9297509/","projectTitle":"End of Year Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Corsi","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9239772"},{"teacherId":8934774,"projectId":8572698,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, my students successfully completed their Dream Room 3D Design Project—and the impact has been truly transformational.\r\nAfter years of interrupted learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many of my students struggled with engagement, digital skills, and hands-on problem-solving. This project reignited their enthusiasm for learning by giving them something personal, creative, and challenging to work toward. Designing and 3D printing their dream rooms empowered them to express themselves while building real-world skills.\r\n\r\nUsing Tinkercad, students learned how to turn abstract ideas into detailed 3D models. They had to think critically about space, scale, and functionality—just like real architects and designers. Throughout the project, I saw students become more confident in using technology, more willing to revise their work after setbacks, and more engaged in thoughtful discussions about design choices and practical solutions.\r\n\r\nThis project especially benefited students who don't always shine in traditional academic settings. Some of the most imaginative designs came from students who rarely speak up in class, and their pride in creating something tangible was unmistakable. It gave all students—regardless of background or ability—a voice and a platform to showcase their ideas.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, the classroom environment changed. Collaboration increased. Students were helping each other troubleshoot design issues, sharing ideas, and celebrating each other's progress. There was a buzz of curiosity and creativity that hadn't been there in a long time. Many students even began asking questions about careers in architecture, engineering, game design, and technology—careers they had never considered before.\r\n\r\nThanks to this project, my students are more confident, more curious, and better equipped to navigate a tech-driven world. Your support helped close pandemic learning gaps and opened doors to future possibilities. We are deeply grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1727462930927,"projectUrl":"project/design-and-3d-print-your-dream-room/8572698/","projectTitle":"Design and 3d Print Your Dream Room!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Hovet","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8934774"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_43274","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":578,"numTeachers":41,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":20,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":72,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"14.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":45.4,"schoolId":43274,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about W.H.
