My Project

Our school is unique because of our diverse staff and student body. Our school district can best be described as one happy family. Thirty-three languages are spoken throughout the district. My students are special because they are immersed in an environment where we teach them academics and how to embrace the diverse student body. Learning is happening all over our school. In the classroom, students are learning required content; however, outside the classroom, our students enjoy art, music, PE, and STEM classes. Our students have opportunities to visit the local zoo and other places in our community, which will inspire them to learn more about the world they live in.

As a classroom teacher to over 400 students, early planning and preparation are essential for a successful school year.

The resources in this project will support my goal for a strong start to the upcoming school year. I am requesting HP Ink and cardstock to prepare workstations and take-home information for parents during our "Meet the Teacher Event." The Lysol Disinfectant Spray, Sanitizing and Antibacterial Spray is an essential resource in my classroom to keep LEGOS, tables, chairs, ect. clean in my classroom. The Expo Dry Erase Markers are used during small group and whole group instruction for students to practice handwriting and informal assessments using mini white boards. Finally, I am requesting bottled water and Dum-Dum Lollipops to have in class for my students. Dum-Dums will be used for our treasure box to reinforce positive behavior, and water is essential for students who do not come to school with water bottles. I can give a student water instead of having students leaving out of my classroom multiple times a day for water breaks.
