My Students

Our students spent the last year and a half at home. Missing out on the valuable, engaging, and authentic learning experiences that occur on a Technology Education classroom.

We are a large inner-city school in an upstate NY community with 2,300 high poverty minority students.

Many students really enjoy the engaging hands-on aspect of STEM education and we want to make up for all the fun they have missed the last 2 years while being virtual.

My Project

Albany High Robotics team 1493 is preparing for our upcoming season. Each year we build a 25x60 foot practice field at the RPI Tech Park. Albany along with teams from Shaker, Shen, Balston Spa work collaboratively to build the field each year. The practice field is used by every local FIRST Robotics team to prepare for the upcoming challenges. We need a tablesaw that is portable to allow us to bring the saw to the Tech Park to build the field elements every year. This saw will allow students and mentors to build the field right at the Tech Park cutting hours in construction time.
