My Students

Our public school opened four years ago. While we have a new building, we are missing many of the things a school that has been open for a long time has. We are also working to build community with our families who are often untrusting of the public school system.

Our students come from all over our city and are a very diverse group of kids.

The majority of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunches, and many live in public housing. Many of our students struggle with reading, and this impacts them in all of their classes.

My Project

Have you ever seen your work printed on a poster and displayed? My students love getting to make digital work and art and then getting it printed on our poster printer. If you have a color printer at home, you know how expensive printer ink can be. These cartridges last for a while but they are a big purchase all at once.

It really motivates my students when they know their work will be printed as a poster and displayed in the hallway.

Help them see their work in a big and bold format.
