Help me give my students the ability to connect with their teacher via United States Postal Service (USPS) during this very crucial time of Distance Learning.
My students are primarily English Learners. We have a variety of cultural representation. In addition to our general education classroom, students with special needs are mainstreamed into our class.
With such diversity, my students learn to develop respect, understanding, and acceptance for all.
Our school is also a Title I School, which means most of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch and come from low socio-economic backgrounds.
Thank you for viewing my project and for your support.
My Project
My class is made up of students who have parents working as essential providers during our Covid-19 Pandemic. Students are having difficulties accessing technology while their parents are away at work.
As a way to correspond with families directly, I wish to be able to mail students' weekly schedules, directions, activities, and notes of encouragement during this very tough time.
Parents and students will be able to have all the information they need at hand, via USPS mail, without having to search for an email or having access to a technological device.
In addition, most of my parents do not own a printer, so having schedules on their cellphone or tablet, doesn't makes it easy for students to keep track of their own learning. Please help me connect with families by providing something as simple as Postage Stamps to bridge the communication gap.
