Despite the many research and studies done on the effects of Music on the brain, Music was the first our school had to remove due to funding. What many fail to see is that Music helps improve concentration, support language development, provide enjoyment, develop fine motor skill, and used as a form of escape from the many demands in the academic curriculum (to say the least). I believe that teaching Music in the classroom will improve the overall lives of students. With a simple Recorder, I wish to provide the opportunity to ALL of our 3rd graders and to develop their LOVE of the Music again. With your donation and my hard work, we can make this happen!
