My Project

My students are amazing. They have overcome so many challenging situations throughout their lives. School is their safe place; their sanctuary. Together we have created an amazingly friendly environment, even though we are stuck out in a portable. I have also found that the plants help to aid in the environment and create a positive classroom culture.

Cold and Flu season is upon us, we are trying to find ways to naturally cleanse the air.

We currently have a few plants in our classroom that are not only beneficial to the air, but they help teach the students responsibility, kindness, and real-world skills. The requested plants, stands, and indoor plant lights will allow more students to be involved in learning how to care for our plants while they reap the benefits of cleaner, healthier air in the classroom. My students are responsible for tending to the plants and are encouraged to take ownership within the classroom.
