They were so excited to see all the new quiet fidgets and get to use them in class. We started off by talking about how they are \"tools not toys\" and what this looks like and sounds like in class. I have noticed that if they see each other using the fidgets inappropriately, they will remind each other of the rules. They will also remind other students who may not work with me that the fidgets in the classroom aren't toys. This makes me so happy because they are helping to hold others responsible for their actions and encouraging them to make good choices. My students have enjoyed using different density squishy fidgets and in doing so, they have figured out which ones they prefer and are able to explain why it works better for them. This has increased their verbal communication skills and their self advocacy skills which is a great life skill for them to learn early. Thank you for your support of my students and our classroom. Your support is greatly appreciated.","fullyFundedDate":1773883180586,"projectUrl":"project/ive-gotta-fidget-while-i-learn/9932690/","projectTitle":"I’ve Gotta Fidget While I Learn","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Magrames","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp6005137_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1540557241544","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6005137"},{"teacherId":6005137,"projectId":9496324,"letterContent":"Thank you for helping to get stools for my students. We spent some of our group time unpacking and I explained to them that other people in the community worked hard to make sure that they had seats for our table.
