I am requesting a teepee, comfy pillows, sensory items, and coloring items to create a relaxing and calming space for students. Pinwheels will be used to teach students how to breathe deeply. Students will be taught that when they are feeling anxious or frustrated, they can request a break in the calm down corner. A Classroom Calming Corner is a quiet area of the room equipped with soft furnishings and soothing materials to help a student de-escalate when upset. Teaching students to utilize coping skills when they are stressed is important. Please support my project and help me give my students skills that will help them throughout their life. Thank you!
