Help me give my students brand new popular books to keep! 7th-12th graders, who are eligible to attend a Truman/Gateway award party, will each go home with a brand new book of their choosing.

My Project

7th-12th graders who have reached their goals of reading Truman and Gateway nominee books will be invited to attend an end of year voting party. While there, they will vote on their favorite Truman/Gateway of the year. They will also receive pizza, a small goody bag, and a brand new book (of their choosing) that they get to keep.

The kids have been reading all year to earn an invitation.

Now, we will reward them for their efforts. Getting to choose a popular book of their own to KEEP could spark a lifetime of literacy. This could be the starting point of their own lovely personal library.
