Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember the first time that you heard a song , nursery rhyme or story that you could repeat or sing by memory?

My students attend a Title 1 school.

They are from low income families where the primary caregivers are single parent or grandparents and the primary language spoken in the home is Spanish. Half of my students did not attend a pre-kindergarten program prior to entering school.

My Project

The electronic games will benefit the auditory learners. They will be able to gain confidence in their ability to read. It will also increase the reading abilities of the students who are not reading on grade level. The diversity of the student's reading levels will increase benchmark reading scores.

These students enjoy our workstations but the non readers are limited to reading workstations.

This will provide them an opportunity to be able to learn letters sounds and read sight words independently.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
