This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are some of the most amazing young people on this planet. However, many come to school uninterested in the institution of school. I have found that the arts and ceramics, in particular, can be the hook that gets young people excited about school. Art is the hammer that shapes our reality.

Many of my students come from extreme poverty.

My students come from diverse backgrounds. I have found that once my students are given a chance and a hook that gets them involved, they can do anything.

My Project

Please help my students get glaze to finish their amazing ceramic art works! Glaze gives ceramic art it's vibrant color and magic. My students really love the process of glazing their ceramic art works. Ceramic glaze helps my students personalize their art work.

It is amazing to see what a positive ceramic art experience can do for a student's outlook on life!

I have seen how a great experience with ceramic art can help a young person envision their lives in a whole new way. Please help to be a change maker in my student's lives!
