Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are in what is referred to as a PLC classroom. They are all in kindergarten and all receive special education services. Many of them struggle with the concept of cooperative play and sharing. My classroom is multicultural, and we strive to make all students feel safe and secure. As a class we are striving to bring all students up to grade level and send them forward with what they need to be successful in school and the community.

My Project

Hello and thank you for considering my project. I teach in an inner city environment. All of my children have socioeconomic challenges. While the district is very good about supplying us with what we need there are times that we need supplemental items to help our children.

Something as simple as a good set of headphones can make a significant difference in the day of our students.

We are fortunate that we have programs that are online that the children use for math and reading. They all are working on their own specific objectives as the programs teach them what they need to attain proficiency.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
