Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As an elementary school counselor, I work with students every day who are learning how to manage emotions, solve conflicts, build friendships, and communicate effectively with others. For many children, talking about their feelings can be difficult. However, when counseling is paired with engaging games and hands-on activities, students often feel more comfortable opening up and practicing important life skills.

This project will provide counseling games and interactive resources that support social-emotional learning in a fun and meaningful way.

These games will be used during individual counseling sessions, small groups, lunch groups, and classroom guidance lessons to help students strengthen communication skills, emotional awareness, teamwork, problem-solving, self-control, and healthy peer relationships.

Through play-based counseling activities, students can learn valuable coping strategies while building confidence and connections with others. The games in this project will create opportunities for students to practice real-life social skills in a safe, supportive environment where mistakes become learning experiences and growth can take place.

By supporting this project, you are helping create engaging opportunities for our Patriots to develop the emotional and social skills they need to be successful in school, at home, and in their future relationships.
