This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I would love to create a classroom in which our students have all they need to be successful in all subject areas. Kindergarten is such an important grade for students-we set the foundation for years to come. I want all my students to enjoy coming to school and get excited about using technology, math, science, literature and feel confidence about learning.

We live in a little Texas town full of amazing students and families.

We are a border town and many of our students are English Language learners. Our goal is to provide them with a classroom rich in technology, literacy, and STEAM activities for all students. Our students come to school every morning willing and eager to learn. I love technology, robotics, reading and writing and I want them to learn to love them as well.

My Project

We want to build curiosity and interest in students to learn to plan, design, build and create communities. They can address real life problems and come up with solutions to make the community better. What issues do our own cities face? Lack of water? electricity? Can we grow our own produce? Create our own electricity? We can discuss how we can practice this in our real life. Students will love the opportunity to build on their own and have their own people with these minifigure sets. Our students are so creative and they just need the right materials to be able to build on their own.
