My Project

Ahoy there, mateys! International Talk Like a Pirate Day is a fun-filled holiday that encourages people around the world to unleash their inner pirate by speaking in pirate lingo. Our school takes it a step further with students and staff dressing up like pirates, reading pirate stories, and having an all-around day of fun as we start off a new school year.

Having a new pirate read aloud for each classroom as well as a special snack for every student would help to make the day even more memorable.

We are looking to have a treasure hunt, where each class will follow clues to find their pirate popcorn snacks as well as their new read-aloud. Shiver me timbers, it is sure to be a fun learning experience as imaginative play helps children to express their creativity and develop social and emotional skills.
