I am so pleased my students had such an enjoyable experience and am hoping they took away a new hobby that is screen-free. \r\n\r\nEvery class in the school was able to participate. I presented a slideshow showing the various games, rules and strategies, and recruited school employees, parents and grandparents to come in and assist. The Assistant Superintendent RSU 1 Administrative Assistant and the DNS Principal even attended. The students had so much fun, Jenga and the card game Mermaid were the two most popular. Having the State Quarter Collection Folders was so exciting for them, and they kept stopping by the library to tell me what quarters they had been able to find. We then researched these topics on PebbleGo and Epic. The best part, however, was the opportunity for hands-on investigation using the materials you so kindly provided. The fossil kits were especially popular as there was a shark tooth included. We saw samples of igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks and gems too. The carpet can easily seat my class of 19 first graders and is a great collection of calming colors.
