My Project

"There are no seven wonders of the world in the eyes of a child. There are seven million." ~ Walt Streightiff. Our vision for the DonorsChoose Grant is to continue on our journey of turning our Media Center into a 21st Century Learning Commons for our students at MCES. Our Mission is for every student at MCES to be able to learn, create, grow, and be passionate about something they want to learn. We want to allow students to explore their passions and encourage creativity. We not only want to provide students with a choice in what they learn or build but also emphasize reflection and inquiry. We have iPads in the Media Center that I want to use to create pictures that illustrate what our students see and do each day. We want to allow them to explore the world and their passion through photography STEAM projects. We need a Photo Printer and photo sheets so we can display their magic and curiosity in books, activities at school, and how we show kindness and creativity at MCES. This new Photo Printer will allow students to create, collaborate, and capture their projects. Our students will be able to use their imagination, create new adventures, and acquire photography and coding skills. Not all students learn the same or thrive educationally the same. I want to be able to reach all students in the way they can learn and create beauty in the world.
