My Students

Our school is sixth and seventh grades only. We have four feeder schools, and our kids are only with us for two years. 55% of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. We have affluent students, students of poverty, and everything in between.

Because they come from different schools and because COVID has caused us to have distancing in place, many students are not interacting with others.

I would like to change that by creating a school blog where students can share ideas about different school-related topics and comment on each other's posts.

My Project

Our society is increasingly a visual one, where plain text is ignored or skipped over. Including pictures and photographs is important if students want others to notice and read their work on a website.

The Sony cameras will be used for photos to incorporate into student projects.

Instead of adding photos from the internet that may have potential copyright issues for use, students will take their own photos to use in projects. We are initially using these for a school-created blog area, but the cameras could be checked out and used for any student assignment.
