The open windows in our classroom here in Hawaii beckon to the great outdoors. Our students long for outdoor play. And yet our state's obesity and diabetes rates continue to climb. Please help fan our students' desire for outdoor activity by funding our P.E. project.
Here in Hawaii, our children love outdoor activity.
They love to talk and write about swimming in the waves of the ocean, playing in the sands of the shore, or even playing football at the local park. They ask me all week long if I will take them outside for P.E. "Are we going out for P.E. today?" they ask me. "What will we do for P.E. this week?" is a question I field on a regular basis. I catch my students gazing dreamily out the window, stealing longing looks at the green play field that whispers their names. They can't wait for P.E. It boosts their confidence, happiness, and self esteem.
My students who have the hardest time in the classroom excel at physical education. They have favorite sports team from all over the nation, and love to emulate the heroes that play in the pros. I would love to channel their passion and desire to set a good framework for active and healthy living. Please help me to promote a long and healthy life.
My Project
Please help my students to learn how to have active lifestyles by funding our project. We would like to have Frisbees, footballs, basketballs, and soccer equipment to enjoy P.E. every week of the school year. I can't wait to see the eyes light up as I present my class with the generous gifts given through your donation.
Our project is important because it promotes a happy, heathy, and active lifestyle.
