These materials have transformed our lessons in ways I couldn't have imagined, and I'm so grateful that you chose to invest in their curiosity.\r\n\r\nFrom the moment the students walked into the lab and saw the magnetic tiles and colorful wands, their excitement was electric. Many had never used magnetic STEM tools before, and watching them discover magnetic \"push and pull\" for the very first time was pure magic. During one of our opening activities, students in both kindergarten and first grade touched their magnetic wands together and squealed when they felt them snap together—or suddenly repel and push away. Those tiny moments of discovery, where they look up at me with wide eyes and say, \"Why did it do that?\", are truly the heart of why this project mattered so much.\r\n\r\nThe magnetic bingo materials immediately became one of our favorite hands-on ways to reinforce science vocabulary and tool recognition. Instead of just hearing words like \"thermometer,\" \"magnifying glass,\" or \"engineer,\" students were able to interact with them. They used their magnetic wands to pick up chips, find matching STEM tools, and cover their boards. Even my most hesitant learners suddenly leaned in, excited to use the wand to pick up each chip. It was incredible to watch how such a simple magnetic pull increased engagement, confidence, and participation across the entire room.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments happened during our clean-up challenge. Students used their wands to lift all their magnetic chips at once, cheering when the whole pile magically clung to the wand. A few students even began predicting which chips would pick up more strongly, turning clean-up into a spontaneous mini-lesson on forces and motion. Moments like these—where science becomes intuitive and joyful—are only possible because of the tools you helped provide.\r\n\r\nThe magnetic tiles have been equally powerful. My kindergarten students have already begun building bridges, towers, and \"cities,\" explaining to each other why certain shapes work better than others. Several of my first graders naturally shifted into engineering mode, testing how tall they could build before a structure collapsed and then rebuilding with better support. These materials invite exploration, problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity in a way that is developmentally perfect for their age.\r\n\r\nYour generosity didn't just fund materials; it created opportunities. You gave my students access to real scientific tools and hands-on learning experiences that strengthen fine motor skills, introduce engineering concepts, and build early confidence in STEM—all in a space that serves 484 students every two weeks. The impact is schoolwide, ongoing, and honestly priceless.\r\n\r\nThank you again for believing in my students and in the power of playful, meaningful STEM learning. Your support has already created unforgettable moments of discovery, and we are truly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1759418469821,"projectUrl":"project/magnets-minds-in-motion-hands-on-stem/9702223/","projectTitle":"Magnets & Minds in Motion: Hands-On STEM Learning for Kids","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Stephanie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9935085"},{"teacherId":1219246,"projectId":9779025,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our classroom's flexible seating project. Many eagerly tried out each new seat, giggling and sharing which types helped them focus best. \r\n\r\nWe're now using the flexible seating options daily during independent reading, math centers, and small group lessons. The seating helps students make choices about what works best for their learning, fostering independence and a stronger sense of responsibility for their work. It's also allowed us to create more collaborative spaces, and students have started suggesting new ways to use our classroom zones during group projects.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, our next step is to use the seating as part of our upcoming behavior lessons. Your contribution has opened doors for hands-on discovery and creative expression that simply wouldn't have been possible without you.\r\n\r\nThe keyboards have already sparked incredible excitement—students are eager to experiment with melodies, learn basic music theory, and collaborate with their classmates to create simple compositions. The rhythm sticks provide an engaging and accessible way for all learners to feel the beat, build coordination, and participate actively in lessons. And our new classroom plays are inspiring even the shyest students to step into character, build confidence, and experience the joy of storytelling.\r\n\r\nYour generosity is making a lasting impact on these young artists. For instance, we recently used them for a \"Gallery Walk\" review where groups solved complex problems on their lap desks, hung them up using the new magnetic accessories, and then circulated to provide peer feedback. The mobility and visibility these resources provide have significantly boosted student engagement and accountability in every lesson.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, the students reacted with genuine excitement and curiosity. They loved the concept of having a personal, portable surface for brainstorming, quickly nicknaming them their \"Think Tanks.\" The immediate next step for these resources is to support a complex Personal Research Project. Students will use the lap desks as \"Idea Draft Boards\" for rapidly mapping out their arguments and data collaboratively. They will then use the magnetic accessories to display their finalized \"Project Pitch,\" ensuring that active, visible, and collaborative thinking remains central to our learning process.","fullyFundedDate":1759458108269,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-and-whiteboards/9777144/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating and Whiteboards","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Kieffer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9560871_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1717252504567","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9560871"},{"teacherId":7935611,"projectId":9773971,"letterContent":"Thank you for your donation of new classroom library books!
