I have a class of 23 kindergarteners. Most of them are boys. At five years old, most of my students have lived their whole lives sheltered on our tiny island of Hawaii. When I show them pictures of spiders, sharks, insects, and animals, the hands shoot up, and the students bubble over with excitement and curiosity. My students' inquisitive minds are amazing. How can I show them more?
