Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Acquiring the skill of reading is such a huge component of students being able to achieve academic success. In grades 1st-3rd students learn to read and in grade 4th-12th students read to learn. If student don’t develop the ability to read we see the Matthew affect take place in which, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer (with regard to reading to reading/academic achievement)

What we know about lower elementary and special education students is that they learn at their best when all their senses are engaged, such as sight, sound, and touch.

What I love about this phonological and phonemic awareness task card tool box (only available on Tpt) is that it engages all the senses and gives children the vital foundation of phonological and phonemic awareness necessary to reach reading fluency. Since reading is the gateway to all upper elementary learning I hope this Tpt gift card gets funded so I can purchase three of these tool boxes for my class.
