I teach kindergarten in an elementary school. I have 27 students who come to school each day smiling and ready to learn. It is my job as their teacher to keep them motivated and excited about school. My school's focus this year is on making learning personal.
My students are eager to learn but they need to be active while learning.
They learn through play and working together. You will not see a lot of worksheets in my classroom because I believe that children learn best by doing!
My Project
How do you learn best? Are you an auditory learner? A kinesthetic learner? My classroom is filled with 27 unique learners. The phonics phones will allow students a chance to practice reading aloud or work on sounds at their level. The other items will keep my students engaged as they learn that they are writers. Building words with the tiles and the stamps make learning letter sounds fun! This will increase the confidence of my students as not only readers but as writers! Students will be using the letter tiles and stamps to build words and explore word families as I teach sounds. The phonics phones will allow students to read independently in their readers and hear themselves read. Finally the power pens give students an independent activity that is self checking. This allows them to practice all the skills that i have introduced.
I can't wait to see my students grow and shine as readers and writers using these items!
