Help me give my students tools needed for our hands-on phonics program.

My Project

We are making great gains with reading by strengthening our phonics skills. We need items to manipulate words such as magnetic letters, doodle boards, and sentence strips. We will use our trays and fidget segments for our syllabication piece and letter sounds within the words.

Research tells us that learners need to physically touch or try something in order to learn the concept best.

Because tactile learners learn best through movement, we tend to lose them quickly while listening to a typical lesson.

These items will be used daily in whole group, small groups, and in tutoring after school.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
