Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

First grade is the best! Students come to school excited to learn and are eager to share their learning with their classmates. In first grade we focus on reading, math and writing- learning to do our best in each subject each and every day.

My school is ethnically diverse with students from all over our community.

Many of my students come from very low socioeconomic backgrounds.

My Project

First graders are enthusiastic learners and love to learn in a variety of ways. It is important to me to offer my students a variety of ways to practice their literacy skills on a daily basis.

These ready made phonics centers will offer my students a fun and interactive way to practice their phonics skills both independently as well as with partners.

Students will be able to use these phonics centers in class on a daily basis to improve their phonics skills and I will be able to monitor student progress through weekly phonics check ins.
