The students have been playing with the soccer balls daily, and it has been wonderful to see how it has benefited not just my class, but all fifth graders in our school. The increased engagement and joy during outdoor play have made a positive impact on their overall well-being and teamwork skills.\r\n\r\nWith basketball season underway, I've also noticed a significant uptick in the use of the basketballs, which has helped foster a healthy sense of competition and camaraderie among students. The cones have been especially useful during our flag football games—allowing us to create a proper field, which contributed to our team winning our games and ultimately the championship. Your support has truly made a difference in encouraging active, healthy lifestyles and building a strong sense of community among our students. The new resources have quickly become a favorite part of our daily routine. For example, during a recent small-group activity, students used the foam letters to build their names and match sounds to objects around the room. Not only did this strengthen fine motor skills, but it also sparked conversations about letters, words, and sharing ideas with friends.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students' faces lit up with excitement! They couldn't wait to explore the colorful dough and foam letters, and many immediately began creating shapes, letters, and even \"pretend cupcakes.\" Their joy was contagious and set a wonderful tone for learning that day.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, our classroom now has fresh opportunities for both teacher-led lessons and independent exploration. Moving forward, we'll be using these resources in a community helpers project where students will design signs, labels, and small props to support our dramatic play center. This will give them another meaningful way to practice literacy and fine motor skills while connecting learning to real-world experiences.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has brought new energy and excitement to our classroom, and we are deeply grateful for your support. It was a lot of fun engaging students in hands-on science experiments. Here are some of the things we have done.\r\n\r\nI led students in making Elephant toothpaste. For this experiment we use the scale and flasks. I apologize that I did not get pictures of these experiments, but student had a blast watching it explode. They were intrigued on the use of the scales to measure out the ingredients. \r\n\r\nOur next experiment, was to find out if Kosher Salt and Epsom Salt naturally evaporate the same. The answer to this was no. Kosher Salt left what looked like squares, while the Epsom Salt left behind a snow like texture. For this experiment, we use the jars and lids, sryniges, and the plastic beakers. \r\n\r\nThese are just the experiments we were able to do this year.
