Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

" In a world where you can be anything, be kind." This quote is the basis of my classroom. I have the opportunity to guide and support middle school students through the toughest growing years in their lives.

My students come from many different backgrounds, socioeconomic status, and family dynamics.

The developing years in a student's life can be frustrating, uneasy, and unsure. I am more than proud to say that through instruction, guidance, and support I help my students develop personal confidence, community involvement, understanding one true self and their purpose and what they are passionate about. Every student at PAA has Leadership class on their schedule and participate in the class four days a week.

The students at PAA R.I.S.E to the expectation of being "the good", and then striving to "be better." Their drive and determination to change the world are inspiring and so uplifting. Their talents, their abilities, and their genuine and authentic selves are showcased on a daily basis.

My Project

Our 6th grade Phoenix continue to learn how important it is to stay organized and be prepared for classes and their assignments. With families lacking financial support, I notice that our students are not equipped with those basics.If I as their teacher can provide the basics like a pencil or paper, I will gladly provide that for them.

A number of classes are using technology more and more and we are expecting our students to be prepared with the essential electronic tools, such as headphones.

Teaching at a low income school, we see our parents putting the absolute necessary supplies first. In return, a number of our students are not able to buy their own headphones, These students are depending on the school or teachers to provide them with these supplies. Some of my students are falling behind in their school work because they are not prepared with the essential tools to be successful, therefore turning in minimal or average work.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
