The students were excited to experience seating that is different from the hard, plastic classroom chair they are used to. The option of flexible seating has allowed students to enjoy and engage in free reading more often in our classroom. Since the addition of these chairs have become so popular, I had to start using a lottery system for the students who were able to use the chairs each day. Although the focus is always on learning, students are much more able to engage in the content when they are comfortable.
