Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are some of the most energetic, creative kids I have ever worked with! They take initiative and enjoy working together to solve problems, create STEM structures, and collaborate on group projects. They help build each other up and push each other to achieve greater goals than they thought possible. My students come from a large variety of cultures, but they all somehow manage to compliment the classroom environment in their own, unique ways.
My students are always excited to try new things and work toward their future dreams.
Whether it be a rising artist, a future sports star, or even the new president of the United States, my students are constantly pushing to improve themselves so they can reach those goals. Though many prefer hands on activities, they are still willing and capable when it comes to the typical handouts and worksheets we use throughout the school day. These kids have definitely shaped the way I view my job, and there's never a day I dread coming in to work. I am so grateful for the privilege I have of working with these amazing students every day!
My Project
Most of the items in the cart are meant for the Osmo program. The Osmo program helps students to personalize their own learning, allowing them to learn at their own pace and improve as quickly as they like. The different programs within Osmo will help students with Language, Math, and creativity. By giving students this opportunity, they will be more invested in their own learning while having fun at the same time!
Other items within the cart are meant to provide incentives to the students, as well as provide them with in-class materials that will help them throughout the day.
By providing these resources to students, it will allow them to find joy in education in a world of uncertainty within the current pandemic.
