My Project

In addition to being a math teacher, I am the coordinator for our new student orientation and mentoring program (Link Crew). Each summer I spend 10 hours training our 11th and 12th grade mentors to support the incoming 300+ students to our school in the fall. If I receive these two parachutes, I will be able to improve our team-building exercises as well as our orientation programming. This supports the social/emotional needs of the entire student body. The strongest connections are made through shared experiences and play!

These items will improve the trust between our mentors during training as well as between the mentors and their new student mentees.

Most students have fond memories of using the parachute in elementary school so we want to give them that same warm feeling on their first day of high school!

My 11th and 12th grade mentors are generous with their time, advice, and support and I would love to give them this gift!
