Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Third grade is one of the hardest years of elementary school, because it's the first year that we take standardized tests. On top of that students are beginning to grow up and start dealing with increasing large and difficult to regulate feelings. My students struggle with emotional regulation that helps us stay on task and focused on learning. It can be hard as just one adult in the classroom to help every student at once calm down and refocus.

Having additional tools in the classroom for students to use as a break to get back on track will alleviate this pressure.

The tools in this project will help me give my students both games to work on the teamwork skills and tools for the peace corner when students need to take a break.
