Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our charter school’s 7th and 8th grade students bring curiosity, creativity, and a genuine desire for connection to everything they do. Next semester, the goal is to offer them an elective class that provides two hours each week to slow down, breathe, and find a safe space at the end of their busy middle school days. The calming-scene sticker kits will give students a soothing, hands-on activity that encourages mindfulness, focus, and self-expression. These resources will help create a peaceful environment where students can decompress, build emotional regulation skills, and develop healthy coping strategies that support their overall well-being.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
