These materials will be used to help these enhancement students really jump into some hands-on experiences within STEAM. These divergent thinkers love to work within the realm of engineering. They will be so excited to tackle the Next Generation Science Standards in order to open doors of interest for these students to move forward with their own independent learning projects. One of the activities these students will work on is a unit surrounding the novel "The Martian" by Andy Weir. The students will use their analysis of the novel to apply a Problem-Based Learning Situation that links to environmental science (solar power, etc.). These STEAM kits will help facilitate these exploratory lessons.
