This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My Pre-Kindergarten students are enthusiastic "college bound" learners! They are intelligent, young students, but the reality is that their socioeconomic statuses and zip codes put them at an academic disadvantage, as compared to their more affluent peers. They are in dire need of having access to quality materials, both inside and outside of the classroom. However, providing them with the supplies necessary to learn in this context is a struggle due to severe budget cuts.

For most of my students, this is their first experience in a structured learning environment.

I want to be able to make their first learning experience hands-on and fun!

My Project

Due to budget cuts, our paper supply has been cut completely this year. We are almost a third into the school year, and the paper supply in our classroom is running low! My students are caring individuals who love to write, draw, read, and learn EVERYTHING that they can! However, learning without paper is difficult. We need to stock our supply closet so that we can finish the school year strong! This paper will help us learn by writing, drawing, writing to pen pals, creating number and letter books, completing homework, creating class books, and much more!

Can you imagine a Pre-K classroom without paper to draw, write or color on?

This is the supply that we are in need of. My students are "college bound" learners who currently lack essential resources needed to support them in their academic journey. Please help provide my students with the basic supplies needed to be successful learners.
