Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our classroom is a bustling community of unique learners, each with their own distinct voice, learning style, and creative spark. To thrive, my students need a learning environment that breaks down the walls of traditional paper-and-pencil tasks and opens up a world of dynamic, interactive collaboration.

A yearly subscription to Padlet will completely transform how we share ideas, learn from one another, and store our academic achievements.

Padlet is an intuitive, virtual bulletin board that serves as a living, breathing canvas for our daily lessons. It allows students to collaborate in real-time, working together on group projects, brainstorming sessions, and peer-review activities, whether they are sitting across the room or working from home.

What makes Padlet so magical for my students is its ability to support multiple modalities. Not every student expresses their understanding the same way. With this platform, students can post their ideas using text, images, videos, audio recordings, or sketches. A quiet student who might hesitate to speak up in front of the class can record a brief audio clip or upload a visual diagram to showcase their brilliant insights. It levels the playing field and ensures every single voice is heard and celebrated.

For me, the teacher, Padlet is a total game-changer for organization and assessment. I will be able to build central repositories of resources—housing videos, articles, and templates all in one organized, easily accessible place for students. Furthermore, Padlet's interactive features will allow me to provide immediate, targeted feedback directly on student posts, helping guide their learning in the moment. Your generous support will help us build a connected, tech-savvy, and inclusive classroom community!
