Help me give my students materials to learn about owls! My students love science and love learning about animals! And one of the great things about owls is exploring their pellets!
I teach the sweetest 1st graders! They are all anxious to learn and enjoy working on activities in class. They are very motivated and love to try new things. They are a joy to work with and I love their hugs. They make me smile and laugh every day!
My class currently consists of 18 beautiful boys and girls!
The students range in their needs and abilities. We work hard in class to excel every day! Reading is extremely important in their learning. Because of this factor, reading is the foundation of every subject I teach.
My Project
My students love learning about animals! And children learn best with hands-on opportunities! Science activities, where children can touch and explore, have a huge impact on their learning!
My students will be able to probe owl pellets to see what they eat!
Each child, not only will be able to explore, but will also be able to discuss and record their findings with their peers and through writing. Using a bone chart, my students will be able to match the bones to distinguish exactly which animal was eaten.
In addition, my students will be able to study owls through literature. Books make up an important part of my lessons through every subject area. My students love to explore books to find out interesting facts and new information. These lessons and activities will be something the children will never forget!
