My Students

I have a class of energetic, enthusiastic, and amazing PreK students. Our school is a Title I-funded school where most students come from low-income or poverty-stricken homes. All of the students receive free or reduced-rate lunch. Most are English Language Learners, while some have special needs. These students come to school eager to learn every day with big smiles on their faces, regardless of their circumstances.

I want to give my students the opportunity to grow, learn and achieve in all developmental areas.

My Project

The activities will give my students the opportunity to master individual gross-motor skills, such as kicking, throwing, catching, aiming, rolling, bouncing, and tracking. Social skills, too, come into play as children participate in simple games - rolling, throwing, and kicking balls to one another.

It will also teach them about sharing, including others, and taking care of our materials.

These include catch games, balls, a bean bag toss game, and balance balls,

Play is central to a child’s learning and development. When a child plays, it gives her lots of different ways and times to learn and develop physical skills.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
