My Students

I have 44 wonderfully awesome sixth-grade students. They are truly an amazing group, and I am so lucky and thankful to be a part of their learning process each year! In my class, we strive to build a community around relationships and high expectations.

Our school strives to find the leader in all students.

Every child has awesome capabilities, talents, and strengths; sometimes, all it takes is exposure or motivation.

The students in my class strive for excellence. They all inherently care about one another and continually make an effort to improve in all aspects.

My Project

This year our students are participating in junior boys and girls basketball teams. The students practice daily and they compete with other teams two or three times a week. The boys practice in the old gym and the girls practice in the new gym. During practice the players perspire a lot and the smells can sometimes be undesirable.

It’s very unfortunate that many of the players don’t have extra deodorant or other hygiene products at home that they can bring to school and use after practice.

Having the Lysol will aid in minimizing the unfavorable smells during practice as well as mitigate germs or viruses. The students will be able to spray the gyms before, during and after each practice or game. The players will receive a snack after each practice.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
