Our Kinder Class Is Close to Complete

Help me give my students colored pencils and kinetic sand to complete our classroom.

My Project

In our co-taught Kindergarten Class, school has just begun. Our classroom is feeling close to complete, but we need a couple more materials for the year. We are requesting kinetic sand and classroom sets of colored pencils to help strengthen these tiny hand muscles.

The beginning of Kindergarten has a large focus on building fine motor skills and developing pre-writing skills.

Our students love the kinetic sand table (and we teachers do, too)! Kinetic sand is firm enough to help strengthen all the little muscles in the hand that will be needed for writing as the year goes on. It is also soft enough that it provides a fun and creative sensory experience. Little by little, however, the little hands make the sand disappear, and we are in need of a refill for our table.

In addition to the sand table, we build fine motor skills when we color. The colored pencil packs allow students to strengthen muscles, practice necessary hand-eye coordination, and sit and work for sustained amounts of time.

Your donation to this project would complete our classroom supplies for the beginning of the year and be used by our Kindergarteners every day.
