First grade is a year of growth and learning in a young child’s life.
My students love to learn and create new things. They see things in the world and wonder how they can make them better. They see school not only as a place to learn, but a second home. They are kind and respectful to others despite what the world may have shown them. We are a family in our classroom.
My Project
When young students develop a love for science and math at an early age, it sparks an interest in entering these fields as they grow and develop into adults. These hands-on materials will help them to see the fun and excitement in learning science and math. They will be able to build and create things from their imagination with the building and STEM materials while feeling like a real scientist wearing their new goggles. The math fact pen and cards will enable them to become fluent in their addition and subtraction facts so they can develop these life long skills, while the dice will help them with their counting skills.
