My students need a Califone 4-Position Listening Center and a Six-Station Listening Center with radio, CD player and mic to allow them to explore new books as they develop their reading skills. Also, we need a Math Versatile Set. The listening center and music box will allow my students to work in small groups to listen to new stories on tapes and CDs and encourage a lifelong love of reading. As they develop their Reading skills, allowing them to listen to stories as they follow along gives them the confidence to start reading. Students learn through hearing stories read to them multiple times...something that some kids don't get at home. The Math Versatile set will give the students a chance to reinforce math concepts they have learned through hands-on materials. They love to learn independently and this activity is something that can allow them to be an independent learner.
