Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a motivated group and learn well when their space and materials are organized. They enjoy taking an active role in their Occupational Therapy sessions and feel pride in their hard work.

Please help me purchase these organizational bins and materials to enable my students to learn most effectively.

These tools will further my students' executive functioning skills and help them succeed in the therapy room, classroom, and beyond.

I will place different OT materials in each bin and teach my students where each item goes. I will place student folders and paperwork in the paper desk organizer for students to search through and retrieve as well. I will teach categorizing and organizing skills to put all materials back in its correct spaces at the end of each session for clean up.

My goal is for my students to be able to identify the items needed at the start of each session and retrieve them independently. My students will be able to actively engage in the setup and clean up of activities allowing them to gain these important skills of initiation, completion, and organization.
