Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school is a Title I school, which means the vast majority of students live at or below the poverty level. Despite these challenges, our students are still hardworking and eager to learn. Unfortunately, having the designation of a Title I school means that our students often do not have the materials they need to succeed in school.
These students come from very difficult backgrounds and circumstances.
Despite these challenges, our students still deserve to have the basic essentials they need to thrive in their education, and in life.
My Project
Our PE program is in need of these two multi use nets and paddle sets. With these nets we will be able to play games such as tennis, badminton, pickleball and more! We would love to give our students these new experiences.
Our students do not often get a chance to learn lifetime fitness skills and these games could be a great experience for them!
Our students lead difficult lives in an inner city setting so we are are very eager to teach them skills and games that are not typical for a city. We would love our students to broaden their world, even if it is just a little bit!
