Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our classroom community is made up of a diverse group of kindergarten students who vary in ethnicity, home language, socioeconomic status, and learning style.

We are committed to creating equitable learning environments in which all children can grow academically and socially.

We believe in a rigorous curriculum and aim to support student learning through project-based learning. These projects will help us demonstrate our learning in ways that are meaningful to us. Students are given the opportunity to direct their own learning and are empowered to express their understanding in their unique way.

My Project

All students develop in their own unique ways. The traditional classroom setting works for some students, but not all. Students learn best when they are given voice and choice in navigating what, how, and where they learn.

These flexible learning options will help my students make choices to decide what works best for them to support their learning journey.

We know that "one-size-fits-all" rarely does. These cushions, ottomans, and floor desks will allow students to explore our classroom space with a fresh set of eyes. Please help us continue to develop our sense of self as independent learners!
