On The Trail With Leader And Me

Help me give my students the items they need to complete a Leader in Me based adventure on the local Rails to Trails.

My Project

Help my students have a Leader In Me based adventure on our local Rails to Trails. Students will be able to complete two book walks using Leader in Me literature, learn about local history and the trail by interacting with local experts, complete a scavenger hunt, compete for prizes, connect with community organizations and enjoy a popular, local outdoor resource with their family.

This adventure will help connect school, family and community in an outdoor activity-based adventure, all while using what we are learning through the Leader In Me program.

As we enter year three of the Leader In Me program, our goal is to not only include what we have already learned, but to involve the family and the community in this endeavor. Our teachers have been trained, the students are receiving instruction, and we are beginning to involve more folks. This project will help us do just that in a fun, educational, engaging way.
