Oh the places you'll go! One of my all time favorite books is the Dr. Seuss classic that encourages readers to go places and let books lead them to places they never thought they could go. My students do not necessarily have the materials they need to help improve their reading and writing skills.
My students attend a Title I school and are very eager to learn.
Many of the students in my class do not have access to books and other materials at home, so they need to have the best materials possible at school! My school is an amazing place where people are so excited about teaching. Children always come first at our school and students are excited to learn.
My Project
The resources I have requested will give my students the opportunity to enhance both reading and writing skills. I have specifically selected the books to give my students a variety of reading opportunities and to add different types of texts to our library. The easel I am requesting will allow me to teach both reading and writing in a more hands on and engaging way. The easel will greatly improve my instruction in balanced literacy and will change the way my students can interact with the material.
My goal is to be the best teacher that I can be so that I can change and inspire my students to go amazing places.
