This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I've been teaching reading/language arts for 15 years. This school year I will be teaching 4th grade reading, writing, and social studies.

We are part of a Title I school where 98% of our students are on free or reduced-priced lunch.

Therefore, we are in high need of assistance when it comes to having all the supplies and materials needed for the ideal classroom. My wonderful students and I will be more than happy and excited for everything we receive. Thank you!

My Project

The supplies listed in this project are essential supplies to help us get started this school year. I'm asking for anchor chart paper and markers to ensure that we have the proper learning displays throughout the school year. An electric pencil sharpener for quick sharpening of pencils. Copy paper for the students to have important stories printed for learning and to take home. Laminating pouches to laminate any projects or displays throughout the school year.

Due to working in a low income school, a lot of times there is very little budget for some essential classroom items.

Normally, I go and buy whatever I need for my students to be successful throughout the school year. However, since finding DonorsChoose.org, I've received a lot of help. With your donation today, I won't have to worry about getting these items and I can focus on working more on my lesson plans, projects for my students, and getting the classroom ready.
