My Project

Every child deserves the opportunity to learn not only academic skills but also the social and emotional skills that help them succeed in school and in life. My students are learning how to recognize their emotions, build positive relationships, solve problems, and show empathy toward others. Books are one of the most powerful tools for teaching these important life lessons.

With a collection of high-quality social-emotional learning (SEL) books, my classroom will become a place where students can see themselves in stories, learn from diverse characters, and practice kindness, resilience, self-control, and compassion.

These books will spark meaningful discussions, encourage students to express their feelings, and provide strategies for navigating everyday challenges.

Many of my students benefit from opportunities to discuss emotions in a safe and supportive environment. Through interactive read-alouds, small-group conversations, and independent reading, these books will help build confidence, strengthen friendships, and create a classroom community where every child feels valued and respected.

Your support will provide resources that extend far beyond reading lessons. These books will help students develop the emotional tools they need to become caring classmates, thoughtful problem-solvers, and lifelong learners. Every book added to our classroom library is an investment in our students' well-being and future success.
