Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have a small handful of students, who are reading at first to second-grade level. In my small groups, my students tend to lose focus when just reading the same book over and over again. I want those students to have more hands-on and interactive tools, including Touch and Read Write and Wipe Cards, Letter Crayons Word Building Center, and Touch and Read CVC Words Match, to enhance their reading level. The goal of this project is to increase their phonics to increase their fluency. My students have the desire to be at the same reading level as their peers, but they can't grow until mastering the basic skills of reading. This makes them special because they want to grow in their educational goals and skills.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
